Match Flame

Please review my photo, this photo taken with a Manual Lens, Helios 44M-5 M42 Mount on a K-50 Camera.

very effective shot....the smoke has a liquid quality to it and the fire, has such clarity, this is one of those shots that go beyond the sum of the technical aspects and into something ethereal....very compelling shot....thanks for posting!

good shoot
some exposure in this photo?
perhaps it was necessary to make the shortest possible shutter speed of 1/500 - 1/1000 or more.

The moment, sharpness and DOF are great, and I also like the B&W treatment. The only objection I have is that I don't like the central position of matchbox/flame in the frame; it kind of diminishes the explosiveness of the scene. I believe a slightly different angle would improve it.

not any exposures, just home's light, and shutter speed is 1/125 on F/2
