Zdenek Billy Dixilend Band

Just in the middle of April my co-worker, a music teacher at our school invited me to a concert. He plays the keyboards in a very good local band that plays dixiland music.
He also asked me to take my Pentax with me. And here are the results.
All shots made with my M 50 1.7 and K10d with almost no PP except resizing.

What do you think??
CC are more than welcome

S.

Great shots.
Were these taken with the onboard flash?

With my experience (little) you photos shows me that you 50 1.7 is a great lens to use in low light situation. But mate these are a whole lot better than I could muster.and no flash .Did the venue have lighting or natural light.

Whatever your doing just keep doing and doing.A little more in sharpness and focus is minor and my only criticism

cheers

Thanks Cupic.
About the lighting - it was a hall with a decent lighting (no coloured lights or strobes)
About the sharpness and focus - I think I'll have to buy Katz eye focusing screen 'cos I really love manual focus and THEY say that katz eye is a miracle.

WOW! Great light in the theater. I always (and I mean always) have sucky shots at our high school auditorium because the lights are so bad. The light in your photos looks so natural and soft yet bright enough to give sharpness. BRAVO!

You'll get more replies when you post fewer images. To have a good close look and post CC on all of them would be to exhaustive (timewise and spacewise). Try to stick to up to 3 shots or so...
Anyway, they look good. Nice and sharp with good colours and contrast. I have some issues with framing though:
1 - too much empty space on top (IMHO tighter crop would work better)
3 - the trumpet is cut off and THAT ruins otherwise good shot
4 - good
5 - I'd crop out the guy on the left as he's too distracting...
then all good
from "and more" part
all good until 5 (if you are trying to get all of them, don't cut their feet, if you want withouth feet then frame more up without most of the legs IMHO) the same for 6, maybe 7 but ther you can get away with it and 9 needs much tihgter crop. the rest is good....
Well this is just about framing, but it's highly subjective (down to my taste).
All in all nice series, which you should be happy from and proud of...
