Longpool Falls
Lens: Tamron 17-50 Camera: K-3

I have recently switched to a k-3 after using a Canon 50d for about 5 years. I am having a bit of trouble processing the files to get exactly what I want. I'm definitely not used to having all of this dynamic range. Any comments on color, sharpening, contrast, exposure would be appreciated.

No bad comments here. Just about a perfect image.

I really like the pools "reflection" on the rock in upper left corner, but I wish you were a little closer and maybe higher so that we could see the pool itself. Probably a ultra wide angle lens would be necessary to capture the surrounding rocks for that.

I too like the reflection, I probably would have just gone a hair longer on exposure and gotten a tad closer to get more of the falls. Great photo

Apart from the advice above I really like this photo. I can relate to you having to get used to the K3 still working it out myself, but in the photo's when you got it right it's just great.

Well composed. Great geometry and the exposure is great. You got a little reflective glow on the overhanging rock, which is a nice touch.
