Great photo overall. My only critique would be on the framing. If it's going to be in tight enough that the back of the shoulder is cut off, the elbow is cut off, the fingers are cut off, etc, then I would suggest that the right side of the photo come in a bit, so that the back of her arm is cut off instead of exposing a random corner of blurred background, which is a bit distracting. I think by bringing in the right side of the photo and cutting out that exposed corner, her arm creates a more complete frame of her face and makes the shot feel more intimate. I held a piece of cardboard up to my monitor to remove that corner in the right, and it did wonders for the photo (I think).

Thanks. I'm inclined to agree. I've already cropped it somewhat but you're right.... it's not there yet.

Very nice.

I agree with the suggestion to crop even tighter on her face. There is some uneven light on her face probably due to a shadow, that runs from the corner of her right eye to the hairline. Ordinarily it it would not be a problem except it links in with the eye makeup and looks almost circular. It is not terribly obvious but once you see it it stands out.

A couple of minor edits and you have great picture.

I like it too.

Nothing to add to the framing comments.

The red strap is a bit distracting, since there's so little of it there.

As for the rest, it's very good.

Maybe like this. Crop, B&W conversion, clean up skin a bit, a little contrast, vignette, grad filter, everything to eliminate distraction and take to lower key for drama. Simpler increases impact.

Thanks everyone. All good and constructive. I've a series from this shoot on flickr and now know they all probably need some attention.
