Spider and his shadow
Lens: 50 mm f2.8 macro Camera: K-5 Photo Location: My backyard 

Trying out my new macro lens. This shot is from his underside as he is eating a trapped insect.

Very cool capture with the shadow. Might be interesting to convert to monochrome, too. Thank you for sharing!

I really like the shadow being included, sets up a more compelling image. I would prefer a tiny bit more DOF, to get some more spidery goodness. Very nice!

I agree, the shadow really makes the picture.
