Which is better?
Lens: 40mm xs Camera: K-50 Photo Location: Washington Square Philadelphia ISO: 100 Shutter Speed: 1/250s Aperture: F2.8 

Hi all,

Which would you choose and why? Or neither..lol. Thanks!

The first of the two as it would be easier to clean up the background highlights (top right), that said neither are particularly sharp... possibly due to the f2.8 aperture dof, but the second might just have the edge.

Argh, DOF. I will experiment with some other numbers. Thanks!

Hmmm, IMHO this image has a too shallow dof and the subject to lens distance is close as well, so it can't be sharpened enough to save it.

to me the second shot is the better of the two. Better angle & composition.

I prefer the second shot, too, because you can see down into the flower more. But Kerrowdown is right, the highlights on the second pick would be harder to touch up. Those bottom highlights on either side of the flower are pretty close to the subject.
