Hi LeDave. 1, 2 & 5 do it for me. Hard choice for you though. Good luck.

2, 4, & 6: two shows motion; 4 emphasizes contrast; the angle on six is not so severe as to make the subject secondary to the shot, but adds interest to the subject. I was thinking of these in terms of marketing the watch, rather than the artsy factor. You don't want to lose sight of the subject but want the shot to contribute to the desire to possess the watch. One is too ordinary and emphasizes the background texture, though maximally descriptive; three is excessively severe; five makes me feel unsettled in some way.

One = 2
Two = 3
Three = 3
Four = 3
Five = 3
Six = 1

Those are the results after dlh's post. A lot of tie breaking to do. Thanks for the thoughts guys, and thanks dlh for listing your opinion on all, it was very helpful. Keep it coming!

Thanks pjv for the correction on #1

1 and 4. I don't think 3, 5 and 6 add much with 1 already included. If you had the lighting of 2 but with the composition of 3, I'd include that as well, though I might like it (or a new 1) to have no movement in the hands.

Do you have another watch available to photograph?

And the more important question, what's the purpose of your portfolio and what else is in it?

1,2, 4 for me. #4 is the one that jumped out at me even though it probably needs to be used in a campaign along with one of the pics that shows the face of the watch.

Thanks BryanR. I do have a few other watches. I have a old photograph of it here,

The purpose of choosing 3 to add to my portfolio is just to better my portfolio by choosing what others choose and like most.

Anyway, I saw your flickr and it is superb, probably one of the top out of others that I've seen on this forum. You must have travel a lot, and especially to exotic countries.

After Ex Finn. So far it's,

One = 5
Two = 6
Three = 4
Four = 6
Five = 6
six = 2

Still pretty close, I'd imagine it would keep going close if I kept going, but who knows? I guess I'll give it a few more days.
