Abstract First attempt at smoke photography

I tweaked the white balance in Lightroom to make the smoke a bit more red, since it kind of looks like a bird and decided to go for a phoenix look.

looks pretty cool...totally get the phoenix......interested in trying this myself just don't have a room to do it in

It can be any room as long as it's dark - wait for night even.. I bought a big sheet of black fabric from a textile store as a backdrop. It ran me about $15. After that, just need a speedlite and a small lamp to turn on and off so you can focus on the smoke.

Go to Dollar Tree they have the black poster board for a dollar dont need much room I have set it up in a very small part of my bedroom
