I will choose the color. But the reason is, I do not think the B&W one is processed very well. It is too gray, too flat.

Colour for me. Not enough interesting elements in the B/W Version. Marcario says it it too grey, too flat. Expressed another way, added contrast would emphasis the texture to the path in particular. In a way the colour adds interest or texture to this area. Also perhaps consider cropping out the posts on either side so the rails flow unobstructed out of the frame.

Original Poster
Thanks for the input
When I processed the photos with the Photomatix Software I chose to do the minimum of enhancement by using the "Photographic" and the "B&W Photographic" settings in the software.
Cropping the photo to 8X10 removes the posts and I believe gives the effect Bruce Clark mentioned.

I prefer the B&W one. I like how it renders the shadows on the path. The WB looks too cold (no pun) on the color one.

Well since you asked.

I prefer the B&W because for me personally there is not much color to begin with. I don't own a polarizing filter yet but this shot seems it could benefit from one. Darken the sky and have more pop from the clouds. My preference would be no foot prints on the bridge but that's part of the fun of photography. Everyone sees things differently.

Low angle of view and composition work very well. Nice job.
