Fairly certain the biggest problem with the moss photo is sitting here at the computer. Haven't done much photography since working in a photo lab throughout the 80's. Went through a lot of film and paper back then. My Olympus OM-1n and Mamiya 645 didn't have quite the learning curve as todays DSLR's. Also what could be done with a negative in the darkroom back then pales in comparison to what can be accomplished by manipulating a digital image in PP today.
May take a weeee bit longer to get a handle on it all.
