I am not too sure about the first shot. I find the viewing angle to be a bit unnatural and the other boats to be distracting. However, I do like the second shot! The sky is nice and contrasty and the capture of the bird in flight is an added bonus.

I find the shape of the hull to be interesting; I'll wager it bobs like a cork on the sea!

The point of the photo is to show how the Hastings fleet is hauled up the beach and also to show the shape of the hull. As in the pic below.

The point of this section of the forum is so members can post images and receive comments and critique. That is all I was doing.

Looking back at my earlier post, it may have seemed as if I was being a bit snappy in defence of my photo.
That was not my intention, I do appreciate your comments and I was adding a little background.
