This is an older image I took in Florida while Birding of a young Alligator resting. What I liked about this image was the way the Alligator looks. They often get a bad rap as a being dangerous Predators ( which they are) but this fellows eyes and facial " expression " really give it a peaceful look. I know its all purely anthropomorphism, but its the impression I get.

I wish the weeds in front of the snout were not there, but it was the best I could do given where it was and where I was. Background is busy.

Thoughts on this image please.

Thanks,
al

Is there such a thing...

As it chews your arm off, the song went something like this for one of Gators close cousins.

Nice shot.

You can remove those weeds in Photoshop pretty easily if you want. Also you can create a small blur to the background which will give the effect of a larger aperture and isolate the subject a bit more.

The gator looks like he is smiling lol

In such a terrific photograph as this is, I wonder why anyone would want to change anything. What I mean is, the animal is in his natural habitat. I believe that is the best way to present the animal and his/her environment. Thanks a very interesting and well executed photo.
