Nice capture of the Milkey Way, I would maybe try a different white balance. Something with more of a blue tone and not so much yellow.

I agree about the white balance. The lighting in the foreground may have caused auto WB to lose its mind. Assuming this was shot in raw, try adjusting to somewhere in the 3800K - 4000K range as a custom white balance.

The brightly lit foreground is blurred, probably because of the astrotracer. IMO shots with the astrotracer look better when the foreground is darker to hide movement. Some people take 2 shots, with astrotracer on and off, then combine the sharp sky from one shot with the sharp ground from the other.

That is but a great shot ;-)
It is good that you have the house in the foreground. A little bit unsharp but it's the starts that matters.

Nice photo, but as you asked for a feedback:

Mi first suggestions is to lower the ISO a bit - perhaps 1600 without changing the shutter speed. It will be a bit darker, but I presume that it will be a bit more clear (not because of the ISO, but because it will capture less stars). Well this is more of a personal preference but anyway.

The second suggestion is based on the blurriness of the landscape because of the use of astrotracer. One solution is just to shoot where the ground is dark. The other one (for this picture in particular) is to crop it a bit. You can cut the part with the brighter grass and to leave only the top of the house. Another option is to try with a vertical crop, again - including the top of the house. The blurriness of the roof actually makes it interesting, a bit magical (especially along with the stars), so I would keep it in the photo. The leave on the bushes is also not a big issue from my perspective.

I really like the mood!

Only the grass is too bright for me, but in general - great photo!

Definitely a white balance issue as others have said, a super easy fix in Photosop if you have it. Do you shoot and process RAW images? If so, when processing the raw file it gives you the ability to fix the white balance and it shows various options, as well as an 'auto' option that attempts to fix it for you. Auto is not ideal, but honestly it would only take you a couple mouse clicks to find the proper white balance when the sky looks 'correct' again.

I checked it out in Photoshop, adjusted the white balance and aside from it being a tiny bit 'soft', it's still a beautiful image. Keep at it!

Far far too orange/yellow. The stars aren't this colour. Your next step aside from proper white balance will be to combine an untracked foreground image with this tracked version.

I would add a sharp image about the foreground too. This is a great image about the stars!

Very nice shot of the Milky Way. It has a greenish yellow tinge which isn't what I would go for. The Milky Way has some amazing colours in it and representing those would have been ideal. Also, the blur on the foreground is a bit distracting but otherwise a nice foreground that left me wanting a bit more.

Was the photo cropped? Could there be more to the foreground?

Some nice stars. I'd have taken a second non-astrotraced pic for the foreground.

Why is the fore ground so blurry?

Why are people critiquing a post from 2017 when the opening poster hasn't posted anything on the Forum since 2018?
