The Boundary

I would definitely go here in a better light. In the mean time, please let me know what you think.

It is a nice, moody shot, A better light would give it a different feel but would not necessarily be a better shot.

I also agree that different light might no mean a better shot.
Also, you may try to shoot horizontally?

I think it's fine as is. You might try shooting at a different time of day, but overall, it's very good.

I would try cropping the bottom a bit. But it does look nice. Where is this place?

Believe it or not, I spent a year in Vancouver and never went to Stanley park... The bus strike didn't help, of course.

The clouds generate a moody atmosphere I like, so no need to wait for better light. I would crop the bottom a little bit (near the shore; if you want to keep the aspect ratio you can crop from the left too, but that's not necessary in my opinion)
You might try to raise the shadows in the lower half of the picture in post, but other than that I like the processing too.

With the next two points I am beeing picky and if you don't remake the picture forget them, because your image is good as it is.
The sunspots in the trees are somewhat distracting for me, if you have those weather conditions again wait for a moment those spots are gone, or maybe they fade when you raise the swadows a tad in post.
I don't like that the first ship in the background has reached the treeline already, one minute earlier and both ships would have been wholly in the ocean, as I said I am beeing picky now

I often think moody clouds and fog are better than the sunshine so many seem to crave for photos. This has a great atmosphere.

I like the mood the lighting gives the shot. Maybe crop the bottom.
Overall nice job

Almost perfect in my humble opinion. I like the varied lighting. Of course you could play around in Lightroom enhancing what is there. Again I can't help myself but this is what my default processing would produce.
