The lens is great but it was only a vehicle to let you compose this awesome image. Love it. And a big hello from Prince George!

Thank you - Big hello right back, I did not know what to expect. it is heavy but I love the bokeh, but I am freaked out by the amount of grain I get. even at 100 iso when I zoom in to edit, I am shocked by the grain. I am not sure if this is normal.

We drove through Prince George on our way to Prince Rupert 10 years ago when our son was born. That was our "first baby" trip Hope you guys are OK with all the forest fires.

You are zooming in way too far and pixel peeping if you are getting the appearance of "grain" at 100 ISO. It is a lovely image!

Nice bookeh. Hopefully the baby - now born, I surpose, will later learn to ride the horse ;-)

Impressive resolution for wide-open, although stopping down a tad might have helped with contrast and given you a hair more DOF, affording us an even clearer view of what the ultrasound presents. But I appreciate that may well have given you too long of an exposure to hand-hold it. So, under the circumstances, this was probably the best outcome you could hope for, and it amounts to a nice piece of family photojournalism. Since the image is not first and foremost about colour, have you tried a b/w conversion?
