I like the lines and the contrast in this one. I'm just puzzled by the title, given that what's up there - the plane - seems out of focus. Taking the shot a few seconds later (so without the plane in it) would work better for me.

Great timing, Mpslxz! It was all down to the placement of that plane.

Thanks! You are absolutely right. I was trying to line it up with the end of the tower of the bridge. But didn't happen

Excellent composition and timing! I like the crossed diagonal lines, strong constrast, and the airplane under the lamp.

The only change I'd consider is cropping some of the upper part of the image above the lamp which is currently too large relative to the part of the sky below the lamp with the plane. Cropping the top could center the lamp in the sky and enhance the strength of the lamp-aircraft part of the composition.

This image has a unfussy retro feel and the plane injects a nice bit of narrative. Well shot!

I love Ilford. Nice point of recovery, the plane balances the composition well.

Thank you. I would've loved to have the plane right at the top of the tower, though.

Thank you. Ilford is going strong in B/W film.

Intriguing b/w shot. Perfectly timed. Think I would leave the composition as it is, as the generous amount of negative space works quite well for me. Have you tried a version where you try to burn the street lamp a little? That might make it a visually stronger counterpoint to the plane, adding even more tension to the image than it has already.

Great idea, I'll try that.

I love this photo of the sky. It has a great foreground and the plane going by was the perfect event to happen.
