On my two monitors, it's not too pale, but these are not calibrated in any way. I like how it lightens up near the darker peak. Do you have a version that has the colour/saturation settings of the final image, but with the crop of the original?

Not currently but I will make it tonight. I was resistant to the crop until I actually tried it -- upon seeing the result I liked it.
