Too much contrast?
Lens: Sigma 70-200 Camera: K5IIS

I thought this looked ok in Lightroom but after saving as jpeg and posting on facebook it looked very harsh

Thoughts welcome

Its a nice photo but the contrast is a little on edge for me personally (although not tremendously so) - but that said I know a lot of people like images to push the boundaries of what looks real.

A sharp photo, but for me the contast is whit the colour ( I think the blue) to strong.
Maybe reducing the colour?

Best regards,
Birk

I think the contrast is ok but I agree that the blue is too strong.

The heavy contrast makes it look almost as if the flower was dried.

I like high contrast, but this picture doesn't quite work. That said, I am not sure that is a contrast problem, perhaps the color balance is off.

Thanks to all comments. Yes it was the blue. A basic error in editing. I knew the white balance was not right, it was far too orange, so I lazily went to Auto in Lightroom (it usually is pretty good) and went from there. Here it is again with manual colour balance and re-edited from there.

Thanks again for your honest critique.
