Could you possible keep all of the wire within the photo? The very nice line that goes from the top of the nano, draws my eyes out of the picture...

There's a very small speck of something black on the ear-plug - I would remove it.

Damn Brit

You could change the angle and move the other earpiece so that you can create a diagonal for the shhot.

It's a nice shot but the way you focused on the earphones makes it look more like a shot of the earphones and less like one for the Shuffle.

Now I do not think you did bad at all...
That said, as others have mentioned the wires looks a little uncontrolled and I would have gone with enough DOF to take in the entire Shuffle, I am not for shallow DOF in shots like these, but that is a personal opinion.

I would work with your lighting too, it seems a little distracting, as you have some reflections, I assume they are from the strobes, in the earphone that I would have worked my way out of. I would have gone with a, not necessarily need less directional light, just more even light.
I do not know what kind of lights and modifyiers you have to work with though?

I actually did a shoot of a couple of shuffles for work not too long ago...
I can post them if you are interested.

I actually liked the shallow DOF and focus on the earpiece. If this was meant for advertising it could be a pre release photo.
