In this vesrion the sky isn't blown out, I think the bright part is fine. As you wrote in replay to my post the dark part of the sky is a little unnatural, too dark now. You increased the overall contrast, but I think the previous version was better. In the shadows it's too dark now, and it looses the calm mood that has the first softer version. Although adding some light to the snow has a positive effect. Some vignetting (really modest) would help to keep my eye in the image.
I know, it's hard to satisfy me. The image is still great!

This is why these scenes can become a personal preference. But as long as SOMEONE likes it, then I am good!

I agree, choose what you like and find the audience! I like your image!

very interesting shot, i agree the first one has strong feelings of IR. I like the changes you made in your second version.
