Originally posted by slowpez I have been watching way too many YouTube videos but I like this shot a lot and thought I would give you some thoughts that I just learned this past week. First, too much sky. I would crop it just below the blue on the right hand side. The blue seems to be the wrong color; maybe cool it down a bit. It seems to be turquoise. Also, I would also be tempted to crop a bit off the bottom, almost to the base of the little tree on the left. Such a beautiful shot of the mountains needs to have them be the star of the show.
Disclaimer, I mostly have no idea what I am talking about but being cooped up for so long and watching so many PS and LR tutorials has given me delusions of grandeur; so take everything I said with a couple of grains of salt and a bit of malt whiskey.
Those mountains are a treat to see though.
Ha Susan, I know exactly what you mean about watching to many videos and now having delusions of grandeur
I'm thinking I know what I'm doing with this PP stuff, but all I'm doing is moving a random slider around until it looks better than last time I moved a random slider...
Thanks for the thoughts on cropping and WB, I'll give it a try later when I'm next on the computer. I guess I'm really just thinking that the mountains are a little part of the photo, since I'm spoiled where I live, I don't attribute any more specialness to them than the sky
