I think monochrome. With all that primer showing, she looks too much like the Sea Tiger in Operation Petticoat.

I was having issues, its also sooooooo flat So I did this one .

The monochrome looks good, but I quite like the colour shot. To me it gives a sense of where it is at in the journey.
I would have tried to crop out the car park and get rid of the yellow piers. They're distracting to me.
Fantastic subject to try and capture.

I prefer color for the details in the ship. In my opinion some clouds would make be work better. Cheers

I like the reworked black and white, with the color more as a photojournalistic style of shot. You say RIP, ids she going to the scrapper soon?

Sadly yes.
This was the original JFK , and was replaced. CV67 was going to be donated, but now appears that no one had the $$$.

The last b/w photo is very good, but colored is good too (i like the sigma 2.8ex)

I like the colour shot, if only because it shows the state of the ship like GLM said.

The reworked B/W is much better than the first, however, and does transmit the sense of disrepair... but now I'd like to see that one in colour too

One little thing of the reworked image is that the area around the ship's aft has a small white halo - maybe overly aggressive contrast enhancement/dehaze tool? It's possible that it's just the ambient light.

Yes, I think it is flat and clinical in the original monochrome as well, I would add some film grain effects.
