Tectaria mexicana
Lens: 135 Camera: Pentax 67II Photo Location: Backyard ISO: 250 

I photographed this young leaf of a Tectaria mexicana fern against the silhouette of an adult leaf.
Like in the previous fern images, I try to use the translucent qualities of the young leaves to make
them stand out

Yes. I expose for a certain development for specific results.
Taking B&W film and having it developed by someone else
will rarely get you your desired results, unless you are starting,
in which case you should definitely do that part at home.
