Iīm not too fond of pigeons sitting (purposefully misspelled) all over colonial architecture,
which is why I was grateful to see a young boy chasing them, as soon as the landed.
I took a complete roll (10 exposures) of this image, the only variation being the shape
of the flock. I developed the roll, wondering what the flock would look like, and this was
the best composition.

It is difficult to know what to expect from a random event such as a birds flying or capturing animals in the wild.
I think as you did by taking many shots and picking all the best.
It is interesting to hear you used film or 10 rolls, was it 24 or 36 per roll, that is a lot of film.

All my Black & White images posted here are taken with medium format film, meaning 9 - 10 frames per roll.

I like the composition. The tonal difference of the architectural parts added some valuable complexity to the balance between the static built form and the dynamic of the flock.

I hope you visited the catacombs, although probably too dark for the 67II.

Yes, I visited the catacombs and they were too dark to drag around all the necessary gear,
but I visited many other places in Peru and canīt wait to be back
