Nice use of splitting things into three sections.

It is a good graphic document on the behavior of these animals.

I imagine that the one with the horns is the male.

You may have been restricted in your viewpoint, but I would have tried to get the large central tree more to one side or the other. Nice photo though, almost a silhouette but retaining plenty of detail in the animals. It would have been far less effective if the group was all in the full sun. Very nice.

Thanks for your comments. The negative is twice as tall, but I decided to crop it to this format
because I liked the three Dark - Light - Dark stripes. The copy hanging in our family room looks
almost like a flag. The tree in the back is almost white in an unmodified test print. I´m not bothered
by its central position as much as by its original tone. It has about 500% burn-in in the print recipe.
Impalas can be quite skittish and I had to wait a fair amount of time for this image, especially
since I was also driving, which doesn´t allow you to move about the car looking for a better
position. But I´m very happy with this image and the composition of the group. In the print you
can see the light reflection in te buck´s eye

I love the lighting on this one. The deer really stand out under this lighting and background.

Thank you. That was what made me stop and wait. I saw the contrast and the group standing in open shade,
silhouetted against the bright grass. It almost looks like a flag.
