A perfect choice for bw. The tonality is beautiful. The contrast between the textures is very nice and there is a right amount of abstraction. Nice work.

Beautiful, almost minimalistic. Love it.

I'm not sure what to make of this image and I don't mean that in a bad way. For a B&W it is a mixture of contrasts from the sunlight streaking on the left, to the curves in the waterline. Definitely an original viewpoint.

I really like it but I would crop a bit off the bottom but that's just my thought.

Horizon looks slightly tilted - other than that I can't fault it!

Monterrico is a volcanic, black sand beach. Rather than photographing the obvious orange sunset with color film, I looked
for interesting angles in B&W. Using hyperfocal distance I payed attention to the closest area in the photo and yes, the
horizon ended up a little tilted. The "scan" looks a tad funky. In the original copy you can clearly see the man in the upper
right corner and the gull above

I love this unusual composition!
It makes your eyes zig-zag-ing across the frame until you spot the tiny human figure and suddenly you get the scale of the beach!

First rate composition. The vertical shoreline of the foreground leads your eyes up and then everything swings to the right with all complemetary leading lines. Well done!

Thank you for your comments. Often I see the composition before looking through the viewfinder, and I place
the camera to capture what I had already framed in my mind. That is usually how I work with large format.
The fun part of the Pentax 67 is that I can "find" the composition by looking through the viewfinder and moving
around, until it just looks right.

Nice image. The only irritating thing for me is the skewed horizon.
A little crop from the left side to reach a aspect ratio of 1:1 might also look good.

The horizon line on this image is tough to figure out. The beach slopes upwards
on the right hand side, and on the far left waves begin to take shape, but they
create the illusion of another slope. Tjme for a drink
