Nice. Usually N+1 is under expose and over develop. Your resulting speed test to ISO 250 with HC 110 seems unusual.

Thanks. Not necessarily. I exposed normally for the shadows and extended development to make the flowers stand out more against the dark background.
I also wanted to accentuate texture.

My personal exposure index is the setting at which I can produce predictable results with my camera/light meter combination.
The term box speed developer would imply that the equipment has no influence on your exposure index. I did my tests
precisely because there was a big difference from one camera/lens to another. I am attaching some film test results.
Agitation pattern is 5 sec every 30 sec. Just as a reference, my exposure index for HP5 on my Rolleiflex 3.5 is ASA 720

Okay, looks good. I do my speed test the Zone system way of placing Zone 1 at 0.10 density above base + fog. If it comes out to within 1/3 stop of box speed, I don't bother and just round to the nearest whole stop. I find it hard to develop consistently to a precision of 1/3-stop and with the latitude of BW film it's a wash. And my Pentax 67 only has full-stop shutter speeds and 1/2-stop apertures. I use the folding hood.

Yes, when you find a subject hat has rich textures and allows you to play with light and shadow,
macro in B&W is a lot of fun
