I'd love to get some feedback on this photo. It's an older negative, had another shot at editing it with photoshop.

I like the dog's head which is in good focus. I would heavily crop this to remove a lot of the out of focus areas.

I wouldn't heavily crop... maybe a portrait-orientation 6x7 crop, or 5x4, would look good... but otherwise how can you resist a face like that... I want to pet that doggie

A heavy crop would nullify the medium format film size and the resulting tonal scale you get from larger negatives. The background boarder around the subject is even and good for a head/shoulder portrait. The fine details of the portrait would be how pleasing the bokeh is from that complex foliage using that lens/aperture combo. Perhaps something with less complexity for a background would have been a good choice given this is a BW shot.

Really like the dog's pose and catchlights in the eyes. I would probably dodge the shadow on the right side of the face just a touch. I really like the square composition and like the background. Great job!

Nice bokeh, and the focus is correct on the eyes. Stop there with processing
