wow - that contrast is amazing. May I ask how you go about rendering a pic (which I'm assuming you shot in color) B/W? Lightroom?

Thanks. This is a print scan. The image was taken with B&W medium format film and enlarged on good photographic silver gelatin paper.
The contrast is the result of matching paper with the negative density range. No Lightroom, just darkroom

A great traditional B & W job again, put it into a competition and I wouldn't be surprised if it was thrown out because it sits right in the middle and that's an automatic no, no for judges who have heard about the rule of thirds and never noticed that the best artists of all time frequently consigned the rule of thirds to the bin.

I love this, it's got a Robert Mapplethorpe look about it

Man, the Pentax 67 II and HP5 compliment each well here.

Not so long ago I became an active participant in the forum and your work became a discovery for me. They are fundamentally different from the general flow. Thank you.

Thank you. I suppose the limitations of traditional B&W define a “style ?” By themselves. It becomes more difficult to produce something different every day, since we are bombarded with so much graphic information.

Good light, good composition. Nicely executed overall. Perhaps worth trying to challenge yourself (since technically the picture is already great) and experiment with unconventional compositions?
