I think I prefer the B&W on this one. Feels more like an album cover.

I prefer the color version. I think a lot of that is I just love the look of that guitar, but I think he also stands out better against the background--it's softer in the color image. Just my two cents!

As part of a monochrome series the B&W version would be nice, but as a stand-alone image I would go with the color version because there is a stronger subject isolation from the background

edit: after reviewing on another monitor I think you used too much clarity (or something similar). The transition from the arm to the guitar is a little too harsh in my opinion.

Definitely color if I have to choose. But there something I don’t like about this picture. More pose or more too strong isolation from background? I can’t say.

I like the idea of this portrait but it’s really just coming off as a snapshot. There are shadows on him and his arm seems overly smooth, too many hotspots on his face. but like I said, the idea is really cool.
