Is that a chain link fence in the background... the lines are a nice contrast to the curves. Very nice use of DoF.

spot on exposure, and very nice details. IMHO a crop to push the flower a little off-centre would probably work great. TFS.

It is so well exposed that one can get lost in the texture of the flower and its structure,
that one forgets that the original comment was going to be about the composition, being
too centered, which is irrelevant, because (read from the beginning)

Thanks! In regards to the panoramic aspect ratio - no particular reason, I guess just a personal preference I tend to shoot everything this way.
