Nice photo of zebras in a natural setting. Black and white photo works well. Thanks for sharing.

I would perhaps crop off the horizon, slightly less of the foreground, and a tad on the left.

I think the horizon is slightly tilted.
When nitpicking I might wish you had been standing slightly further left, so the zebras in the background would be evenly spaced from the edges
A great image overall, well done

A very nice picture, and no need to crop IMHO. Horizon tilted? Only very little, I don't mind. Who knows, if the ground was just like that after all, a bit sloping?

Thank you all for your comments. I didnīt crop the horizon while exposing or printing, because I specfiically
wanted to show the scale of the place. When people think of a zebra, many envision the animal at a zoo
or in a Wikipedia-type photo. Fewer think of a herd of zebras roaming a plain.

Very nice capture. I like the fact that the zebras, foreground and background, are well separated and in clearly defined groups. It works great in B&W.
I agree that it's worth trying to crop the horizon, but not 100% sure if it would be better, you have to try it. Also, I did wonder if the horizon is a tiny bit off level (I had a feeling a tiny anti-clockwise rotation was needed), but now I think it's just my mind playing tricks. One more reason to try and crop the horizon :-)

I think it was the right decision to include the horizon, nevertheless I think it is slightly off level

I like. The herd in the background looks superfluous

Works very well in B&W. I’m just jealous you were able to capture zebras in the wild!

Thank you. That was - to me - the most valuable part of this image:
having photographed these animals in their habitat. That is for me
90% of this image, the memory of the experience

I wouldn't crop, the image has good depth, shows the real environment and there's a happy winding movement through the frame from the animals in the background to the principal subjects. Are you sure you didn't pose them with promises of treats? ;-)

A fine photograph!

I'll drink to that! capturing Flora and Fauna on film/digital in the wild is an experience in itself. The photograh (at least to the photograher) acts as externalising the memory and a trigger to recall the entire experience once again.

Don't know why I didn't mention earlier, but as well as the natural environment there's also an impression of the sun's strength there, so the light is well captured too.
