Japanese lady

Evening all.
Feedback appreciated for this pic.

It was at a wedding in Tokyo. It was at Meiji Jingu(shrine in Harajuku, Tokyo) and she was one of the guests.
They were all following the bride and groom, and I was panning her as she went by.
She just turned her head to shout to the man in the background just as I pressed the shutter...
Would it have been better to see her face? I only got off the one shot.

Your picture is already great without her face. It makes it real. This woman arrived, you didn't expect her, you had just few seconds to react, and here is the result.
Very nice colors, mix of gold and black on the brown background. Very class.
There's movement too, which makes it alive. I would want to see her face but never will be able to, so this woman will keep some "mystery".

Not seeing the woman's face isn't a problem for me.
This is just my opinion, but I really like your picture.

I think it would have been better to see her face, because you can see motion blur on her as well, there is no separation between subject and background. It does look IMO exactly as you described it, a missed shot.

I'm not sure if it would have been "better", but it definitely would feel different. It depends on things like what she looks like, her facial expression, etc. etc.

I just said that because her clothing is the same colour as the men's suits. If her clothes had been a different colour it wouldn't matter which way she was looking, as long as she was separated from the background.

Thanks.
Like your points about the colours, Gary.
I guess it would make a big difference if the kimono was a different colour.

Great shot! Fantastic!!

Her missing face is no problem it ads drama to the picture.
Minor point probably sligtly better if her feet were on the image completely.
