I had the same response with my shot.

The symmetry to it very captivating and as its something so common and typical giving it a different point of view makes it feel special!

I think this is the reason. the roundness and basically symmetrical image makes the centering work but it is something that is generally recognizable but abstract and allows one to explore the image to figure it out while not asking too much of the viewer.
