Another lovely frame. I'm sure there is a ton of details in the actual print on the lower-right part of the picture. If so, this is a powerful diagonal composition with light and dark occupying the halves on either side of the diagonal, with the textures on the vertical connecting them. Almost ying-yang style. Would be great to see more details on the dark side as well. The (AFAIK) bloom on the highlights IMHO adds to the whole atmos.TFS.

Thank you, I appreciate your comments.
This photo was taken and printed during my first incursions into the Zone System.
I wanted a dramatic image that would capture the mood of the place and moment
(which I'm quite happy with). I placed the shadows in Zone II (one stop lower than
my usual placment), because I wanted to retain the maximal shadow detail, but
still show detail and texture in the fog.
And I did.
I enjoyed printing quite dark in those days, so I always remember the comment
of a friend, who said: Photography is painting with light, not with shadows.
He was right. I´ve re-printed many of my photos and today they look much better,
lighter and more luminous.

This is an image that needs a second chance to shine. I will print it with a
better lit midrange and detail in the shadows, and see if it really improves
