Prayer Plant's New Flower No. 2
Lens: HD Pentax DA 16-85mm Camera: K10D Photo Location: Office Window, Sacramento ISO: 400 Shutter Speed: 1/125s Aperture: F8

Backlit by outside bright wall.

This is a second image of the same flower as the one posted earlier. This one has reduced contrast--appears to be a better image.
Comments for improvement will be welcomed!
Angky.

You have already improved it. I believe that this composition is better and that the reduced contrast gave you a more pleasing background. I dare not suggest other changes with my limited expertise in post processing.

Thanks for letting me know your perspective--that this is an improvement. It helps to know what other people are seeing.
So thanks!
Angky.

Just a thought if you were to try this shot again Angky, do you have access (digital or physical) to any R/G/B etc. colour filters? I could see this composition (lovely by the way) working well as a contrast led monochrome shot using a colour filter to enhance the subject (flower spike) from the bract.

Interesting thought you bring up!
Many, many years ago, I started learning to filter B&W, but was mostly baffled by just getting any decent composition. I haven't done anything with that in the ensuing 40-odd years.
But I can see what you are saying, now that I look at it.
I don't have any physical filters, but I am starting to experiment with digital. I'll play with it and see what it turns out, although I certainly don't know how to do it with specific intent--just playing for now until I learn some of it.
Thanks for the suggestion!
Angky.
