The Waterfalls at Versalles, Guaduas, Colombia +ND6
Lens: 200 mm Camera: Pentax 67 II Photo Location: Guaduas, Colombias ISO: 250

Pentax 67 II. 200 mm
HP5 @ ASA 250 in Pyro PMK

The waterfalls at Guaduas are a group of mid-sized falls
in tropical lowland forest. Although I'm not a big fan of ND
filters for water, I took a few images with a ND+6 Filter and
this time I believe it worked for the picture.
The bright white ribbons of water show a much better contrast
than my previous images, taken to display the true character of
this river.

I really liked the earlier one, but I think this one has more presence of the flow.
But, if I recall the earlier one, do the rocks lose a little bit of "character"? Or is that because the water attracts the attention more?
Regardless, I do indeed like this one at least as well as the earlier one.
Just contemplating and appreciating....

Thanks Angky. I think that the well-defined contours of water in this image
make a more obvious statement ! What iimpressed me the most of this
image was its edge to edge clarity, which was totally unexpected coming
from a US$ 15.00 Filter

I certainly must agree with that!
I avoid those filters, but yours turned out well.

This picture lacks contrast and overall has this muddy look sorry to say. This happens when mostly everything in the scene is about an 18% grey and there are no shadows or highlights to give the scene some sort of shape. This is a common mistake with B&W photos. The water falls look good. You did a great job with that, but the rest of the scene lack character.

Thanks for you comment. I posted this image as a comparison to a straight image of the waterfalls, without a ND filter.
It s not a B&W print, just an inversion of a digital image of a Pyro negative, compàring two images, with and without ND filter.
Pyro negs print with great contrast, but their digital inversions don't show the contrast of their silver prints
