Still Life A pattern for testing.

Manual Exposure Mode, Multi-Segment Metering, Focal Length 200mm and used Yongnuo Speedlight.

Okay, I wanted to achieve sharper images with this lens at the longer end so I went with a faster shutter speed (handheld). Now God's Honest Truth, this image is absolutely

straight out of camera, meaning no editing whatsoever. I am impressed with this lens' performance married with the k-7. This is the black finish copy which I understood was

quite problematic, however I have had this lens for over two years now and never had a problem with it. The Auto-Focus is impressive in that it is very accurate and more

importantly, consistently accurate. Thanks for viewing and commenting.

Well, at the very least, you've got a pretty image!

I'm not a good judge of lens quality, but I think this shows a pretty fine zoom lens, even though the image has been limited by the requirements of posting it on PF.
The aperture is a bit slower than a lot of people want, but I have seldom encountered any difficulty with that lens speed.
I'd suspect the 80-320 makes it quite a good lens for outdoor work where zooms really excel.
On a bird shot at 50 feet, I'll bet you could probably count the bugs on a bird's beak. And at 200 yards...
