The hawk was on a telephone line and suddenly dived into the underlying ditch.

Original photo wasn't that good: High ISO, Backlit conditions with purple fringing.

I removed the tel line from the background and fixed fringing in PP. Final treatement in Sharpen Ai

Medium crop to better fill the frame. Left a bit more space below.

I tried B&W conversion, but fade colors look better imo.

Pretty happy with the result.

Very good catch for a sudden surprising drop!
Those birds are really hard to catch in a dive; you got a good shot!

Perhaps you can add a tinge of color to the sky?

Yes sky is dull I agree, so that's why I choose to raise contrast to make it white as much as possible so it look "suspended" in the air, out of nowhere

I just use Lr for my PP, so not sure how I could do that in there ? I don't have PS to do something like that.
