Grandson candid

I was poping pics of my two year old grandson, and this is one of the best ones I shot. I was using my K10D with a Sigma 28-105 lens. I had the lens a the 105 lenght and had the apeture wide open. I also used the pop upflash. What do you all think?

That's an excellent portrait! The only disturbing element is the extra catchlight in the eyes - ideally there should only be one catchlight. Nothing Photoshop can't fix!

Babies! You gotta keep on popping until you get that right one! This is were digital is far superior to film. You don't like it? You ain't stuck with it . Just delete it!

Not bad, I like the pose. The background is not very good though, especially the black thing at the top of his head that mix with his hairs. Also the ear is cut, maybe it would be better if we don't see it completely or include it fully.

On this picture I would cut the ear and the top of the head to remove the black shadow behind him. That may also put the emphasis on the nice eyes. The eyes are very often the most important feature of a human visage.
