Bokeh Query

Is the bokeh to "flat"?

The bokeh is basic, but that's not a bad thing. The next problem is that your subject doesn't seem to be entirely in focus. That's probably due to the fact of a 300mm being shot at 1/200th- I'm guessing it was handheld.

The bokeh is perfect. There is nothing in the background that distracts from that beutifull baby's face.

This is great. I love the bokeh to be very creamy and soft, especially for facial portraits where everything else would distract. Bokeh creates the colours to make the picture warmer. That is why I prefer the FA*85 over the 77Ltd. Remember, if you do not like the bokeh yourself, you could close the aperture a little further. Two or three stops will give more detail in the background. A very soft bokeh is great to start with. Then, stopping down will bring you the balance you're looking for.
