I'm new to DSLRS, having just bought my k2000 over the holidays. I'd love some constructive critique on this photo.

Brad,

Your exposure and focus seem very good. Compositionally, there are so many branches going in so many different direction that it encourages the viewer to really scan over the entire image (which is good). You might have cropped a little tighter on the left, but other than that it is a very good effort. Did you try any other perspectives (like laying on your back and shooting up at the branches or climbing up on a nearby tree to shoot down on the subject)?

good frame and scene, i'd suggest some post processing to bring out the color shades and gradiations more. it would also work well in black and white IMO

this is a very interesting, painterly shot. I would try to bring out the color more as jani says, especially the green leaves. To my eye the light looks a little strange in the lower right, as if a flash were used. Perhaps darkening or increasing contrast in the wood a touch would help?

I really like it, its like a whole hiway system of turns and overpasses. I would like to see it a little sharper and perhaps a touch more contrast.
