I think that number 1 is a little dark, but the other two look pretty good.

Subject matter is too cold for my liking though.

Yes the shots do look cold but thats what snow is. The first one would get my vote if it was lighter. I particularly like the out of focus background to emphasize the subject, very good choice of aperture.
Remember that when shooting very light/bright objects use + exposure compensation. In this case perhaps +1.5 or 2.0.
