Right place, right time.

Sunday I received an email - Monday 3.00pm, Conningsby, Red Arrows.
Made it just in time to see the first full display of the season. Not a public display, just for RAF people I understand. Weather conditions were calm but perhaps a little hazy.
I used the Tamron 70-200 set at f8.0 and shutter at 1/500sec set manually. Also used manual focus as I reckoned the smallish aperture would cover any minor focus errors.

Great photo's, but they're all abit too dark. But in a situation like this, you'd've probably been better off if you had used either Av or Tv. For example, set the shutter at 1/400 and let the camera decide which aperture is best for the lighting conditions. Something at which the camera is much quicker than any photographer.
