ISO was 640, Shutter speed was 1/400 sec. Lens was my old Saitex 1:5.6 f=70-300mm manual zoom leftover from my 35mm days. This image was cropped from the original with no other post processing. The weather was 100% overcast.

I like the fact that the blurred foreground and background really gives the impression of speed. Danica was probably close to 230 mph when this shot was taken. I'm just getting back into this type of photography and looking for ideas to make my technique better.

Nice shot.... But you didn't take it with a Pentax... Everyone knows Pentax cameras cannot be used for fast action...

Just kidding... LOL...Way to prove em wrong!

Thanks all, Hopefully I can continue to get images to equal or better this. Boat racing season is just around the corner.
