Scooter in Old Town
Lens: 31mm Camera: Pentax k20d ISO: 200 Shutter Speed: 1/3000s Aperture: F2.8

looking for some critique on this shot. I got lucky enough to find it, and its rare that i will again, for some reason im still kinda iffy on it.

I like the photo. It's just a little too dead on for me. Some angles would help. It's already a good photo but I think there are some really great shots there. When I'm lucky enough to stumble on a scene like that I force myself to change camera angles. A good eye is nice to have but options are never bad.

Perhaps black and white?

perhaps soem fill flash to ballance the light (though i am not sure about using the onboard, the scooter is quite shinny), a higher angle (the side mirrors are already out of the brick background, it's a bit disturbing, i think it would be stronger if the backfrop would have been only brick for the scooter). nice catch, nevertheless.

Cool, if this is a "stolen" picture then its great. As a one shot shoot and run you pulled it off.

be well,
joe

A good shot, but not a great one. As others pointed out, changing of your shooting angle could have helped, as this alleyway scene certainly has potential. If you were even "iffy" about it, that tells you a lot right there. It means you know something is slightly off in it and something could have been done a little better.
