2 very lovely ladies captured beautifully.
The child's clothes are unfortunately too bright and a little distracting, but that's the trade off for good exposure in their faces.
Well done with this - I'm sure they'll be proud of it.

I have to agree. The childs clothes are blown out. Did you use a single light source camera left?

No. Only flash on camera.

If you shot RAW open the raw file again but change the settings to favor the highlights. Open the file and bring that layer over to your first file and pin register it. Delete all but the highlights. Layer the opacity on that layer till it looks right. Save as something else

Great picture. They smiles are great! The smoothing of their skin is a little bit too much imo. Now the hair of the eyebrows and the eyelashes are not so sharp. It looks a little bit plastic.

So the picture is great, use the tutorial for changing the child's clothes. And in my view smoothen the skin a little bit less.

I really liked the composition. Using recovery for the 2nd post really helped but for my eyes (or monitor), it needs at least 1/2 stop of light down.
