Ice Cream Man
Lens: 16mm Camera: K10d ISO: 100 Shutter Speed: 1/500s Aperture: F8

Here's one from a recent walk. I tried to make the colors kinda "candy-like" to complement the ice cream truck. Did I go too far?

Doesn't captivate me, I'm afraid.
Well captured, but the title doesn't seem to suit as this image makes the viewer focus on the vanishing point of the walkway and fence, which it sounds like wasn't intended to be the subject of the photo.

All of the lines that draw your eye to certain places are none of them towards the subject of the photo. I hope I don't sound harsh, but it looks like an image that I would have deleted from a series of shots of the moving vehicle, it's too far away. I like how the way the fence is curved, it looks a little like an ice cream cone, though.

Agreed that the main subject (as titled) is too far away. We barely can tell that it's an ice cream truck, aside from the garish colors they painted it.

Your editing looks good, but the composition needs work as stated above. The other vehicles in the frame are almost as likely to be the subjects as the truck.

I would have to agree. At first glance I thought the fence was the main focus and scrolled down to find another picture that had the ice cream truck. I see the experimentation with the angle on the fence, and it's good to play around with angles, but it just takes too much away from the actual subject matter.

Yeah, too far. It would have been nice had the truck been closer and in the right lane.
