Vibrant rendition of colour there.
Well done Ole.

I feel this might have been better with a wider lens, to get more of a feel of the height and denseness of the trees. As it is at this FOV, it's all 'stems and seeds', as they say. It seems a little cluttered. It just looks like plain trees at this angle.

Another great shot, but you've got to watch those edges!

Not too much sky which is nice. Despite being a beautiful area, getting in tight can be quite the challenge.

I would recommend you try cropping out just a bit of the foreground - just to the base of the small conifer in the middle - not much. It's a bit cluttered in terms of the objects in the foreground and detracts slightly from the overall. This composition is using a pattern of vertical lines very well, perhaps just a tad tighter OR go to landscape orientation - do you have any in landscape orientation?

Beautiful yellows and perhaps by using a slightly larger aperture you might have been able to garner more light from the silver-ish colored tree trunks and show how beautiful they are. I looked at several shots I took and can confirm this is truly a difficult subject to expose really well, being back lit and light colored leaves. Excellent yellows!!

Regards,
Marc

Thanks for the comments.

Marc, I do not have any useable shots in landscape but I'll work on the cropping of the vertical ones. The tree trunks did disappoint me - I will remember your advice next time.
