Norwegian backyard

In the continuation of my "Norwegian"-series I need to find out if the vignetting of this image works. Obviously it has been added in ps, and I was hoping it would convey the atmosphere of the image better with it. Please don't be afraid to knock it, I won't go postal on you, maybe viking, but not postal!

I think it needs some more work, perhaps make it go more gradually from dark to light. It looks a bit abrupt to me.

I see your point. In this edit I've tried to subtly highlight the gravel and fence, while adding a milder vignetting. Like this version better Ole?

I like this better! Perhaps make it a tad darker, though?

The more dramatic skies do look well with vignettes, but here it would take away from much of the detail intended for view.

If any of you want to try an edit yourselves, just let me know

How do you btw add a vignette? I use the elliptical marquee tool or what it's called.

I like the original vignette, but I also think it might print too dark.

I prefer the first version as well.

For me, my first impression is that this is a messy image with lots of distractions.
The vigenetting helps reduce this somewhat, but I am still unsure what the main focus of the photo is, or what you are trying to show us, apart from a messy backyard?

What I do like about this photo is how the path is leading my eye to the gate and house - which is where I think the interest in this photo (for me anyway) is.
